The Invisalign Teen system is a series of customized, virtually invisible aligners. The aligners gradually move teeth to help your teen achieve a great smile and proper bite.
On average treatment takes about a year. Because the aligners are removable, your teen can easily brush and floss for proper hygiene.

IS INVISALIGN TEEN TREATMENT AS EFFECTIVE AS TRADITIONAL BRACES?
In the hands of a skilled practitioner and when worn according to your orthodontist’s recommendation, Invisalign Teen can be as effective as traditional braces for many types of treatment.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ADULT INVISALIGN APPLIANCE AND THE INVISALIGN TEEN APPLICANCE?
Although many of the benefits are the same, Invisalign Teen is differentiated by several new clinical features, such as compliance indicators and free replacement aligners.

HOW WILL I KNOW HOW OFTEN MY CHILD IS WEARING HIS/HER ALIGNERS?
The compliance indicators located on the upper aligner can estimate the approximate amount of time your teen spends wearing his/her aligners. The indicators are designed to fade from blue to clear as a gauge of approximate wear time, so you can monitor your child’s compliance easily.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD LOSES ONE OR BOTH OF HIS/HER ALIGNERS?
Should this occur, simply inform your orthodontist right away. The orthodontist may tell your child to start wearing his/her previous set, or the next set of aligners immediately. The orthodontist will then order your teen a new set of aligners to replace the ones that were lost. Invisalign Teen treatment includes up to six individual replacement aligners at no charge.
